I. College Introduction
Luzhou Vocational and Technical College was founded in 1901 with a 125-year educational history. It is a comprehensive public full-time ordinary higher education institution established by the Luzhou Municipal People's Government. Situated in Luzhou—known as China’s Liquor Capital—in southeastern Sichuan Province, the College enjoys access to picturesque natural landscapes and a time-honoured local history, attracting numerous tourists to the region.
Covering 1,504 mu, the college has over 15,000 enrolled students and more than 800 faculty and staff. It has been selected as a construction unit for high-level specialty groups under Phase II of the National “Double High-Level Plan”. It is rated as a Grade-B institution under the Sichuan Provincial “Double High-Level” Initiative, a pilot institution for undergraduate-level vocational talent training, a national-level high-skilled personnel training base, and a national-level pilot institution for the modern apprenticeship system. The College has built high-standard specialty groups for Liquor-Making Technology, Industrial Robot Technology, UAV Application Technology, Artificial Intelligence Technology Application, and Electronic Information Engineering Technology. The College holds a collection of 1,147,998 printed volumes. It runs such institutional enterprises as the largest Nuobo Kindergarten in southern Sichuan, the five-star BTG Luzhou Jianguo Hotel and the four-star InterContinental Longdong Holiday Inn. Its on-campus amenities include Liquor City Cultural and Creative Food Street, Tmall Supermarket, an indoor gymnasium, a constant-temperature natatorium, and well-furnished standard dormitories and canteens, delivering premium learning and living conditions for faculty and students.
In recent years, the College has collaborated with universities and colleges from 26 countries, including Germany, Singapore, and Australia, to implement the “Domestic Higher Vocational Education + Overseas Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees” articulated training programme. Nine collaborative platforms have been established, such as the Cambodia Luban Workshop, Jingwei Liquor Workshop, and China‑Laos Research Centre for Children’s Education. The College has educated more than 300 international students from 12 countries, including South Africa, Laos, Bangladesh, Tajikistan, Pakistan, and Vietnam. It has provided over 10,000 person-times of “Chinese Language + Vocational Skills” training for Chinese-funded enterprises such as Qingdao Haizhichen Industrial Equipment Co., Ltd. (Vietnam), and delivered custom-tailored training for more than 60 staff members for overseas Chinese-funded enterprises. It has actively developed high-quality overseas employment opportunities and dispatched over 80 outstanding graduates to the United States, Singapore, Germany, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates (Dubai) and other destinations. Twenty sets of technical standards and equipment have been exported to Laos, Tanzania, and beyond. The College has been included in the first batch of institutions for the Ministry of Education's “China-ASEAN Thousand-School Partnership Programme”, marking notable progress in its international education. Furthermore, its first Sino‑foreign cooperative education programme, the Liquor‑Making Technology major, has obtained official approval, bringing fresh momentum to the College’s contribution to high‑quality Belt and Road education development.
II. Eligibility Criteria
1. Non-Chinese citizens holding valid ordinary foreign passports, who meet the requirements specified in Ministry of Education Document 〔2020〕No. 12.
2. Age range: normally 18–30 years old.
3. In good physical and mental health, hold a friendly attitude towards China, with no history of drug abuse and no criminal record.

V. Application Timeline and Procedures

VI. Required Application Documents
(1) Luzhou Vocational and Technical College Application Form for Admission of International Students (Chinese Language Trainees).
(2) Copy of high school or higher-level diploma (or equivalent qualification). The original must be presented upon enrollment registration.
(3) Foreigner’s Physical Examination Form (completed within three months prior to application submission).
(4) Copy of a valid ordinary passport (with a remaining validity period of no less than two years): personal information page, visa page, or residence permit page.
(5) Applicant’s non-criminal record certificate.
(6) Luzhou Vocational and Technical College Admission Statement for International Students (Chinese Language Trainees).
(7) Luzhou Vocational and Technical College Undertaking for International Students (Chinese Language Trainees) on Insurance Purchase.

VII. Admission Procedures
(1) Upon receipt of applications, the admission leading group will review submitted materials. An online interview may be arranged when necessary.
(2) Admission results will be notified to applicants by email. Admission notices and other enrollment documents will be sent to successful applicants.
(3) After receiving the admission notice, admitted applicants must confirm whether they will register within 10 working days. Failure to respond within this time frame will be deemed a voluntary forfeiture of admission status.
(4) Admitted students shall complete registration at the time and location specified in the admission notice. Early arrival for registration is not accepted in principle.
